I recently upgraded to version 3.3.14. One of my users has reported that he is no longer receiving notifications when new replies are made to existing topics in the forum. He monitors the forum for spam, so he wants to be notified whenever a new topic or post is made.
He is subscribed to the forums and does receive notifications when new topics are created. However, he does not receive notifications when replies are made to those topics unless he subscribes to them individually. Since many new topics are created, subscribing to each one becomes tedious. To be clear, he is not only interested in topics he created himself, but in all topics.
Is the behavior we're seeing intended?
I saw the following item in the release notes, which seems to indicate that the behavior described above is a bug. However, I think the title of that Jira issue might be a bit misleading:
