Well, that can't be the "best" solution. Why? The number of icons varies depending on your rank (moderator, admin, founder) and, if applicable, when sending a private message. This also applies e.q. to the outbox.

And after several tests, the button menu in view pm is not collapsed on any forum.

Yes, that's how I see it today too.

My first idea is helpful, but it isn't fully thought through and I take this back. Basically, collapse should work as well perhaps at e.g., 290px - 500px or 290px - 550px:

collapsed: The icon three points exist by 290px.

Well, that can't be the *solution. Why? Depending on your ranks (moderator, admin, founder) and possibly when sending a private message, the number of icons varies. The same applies to the outbox. And with large rank images, the icons are "overlaid."

And the effect is e.q. obviously noticeable here on COM, since rank graphics are very wide (160px). And is a good example to enable improvement.

My conclusion:
We are overlooking something and I cannot figure it out exactly, - what is happening in which dependency.
